Leave No Trace is dedicated to a national and international program designed to assist outdoor enthusiasts with their decisions about how to reduce their impacts when they hike, camp, picnic, snowshoe, run, bike, hunt, paddle, ride horses, fish, ski or climb. The program strives to educate all those who enjoy the outdoors about the nature of their recreational impacts as well as techniques to prevent and minimize such impacts. Leave No Trace is best understood as an educational and ethical program, not as a set of rules and regulations.

The Access Fund is the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. Founded in 1991, the Access Fund supports and represents over 2.3 million climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing: rock, ice, mountaineering, and bouldering.

 

 

The Sierra Club is one of the oldest and most influential grassroots environmental organizations in the United States. The Grand Canyon (Arizona) Chapter was formed in 1966 in order to focus attention on stopping dams in Grand Canyon. Our work to protect the Colorado River and Grand Canyon National Park continues today.
